On this page, you will find the contact information for the persons responsible for Gender and Equity at the regional level in the Western Pacific region. To get in touch with country level focal points, please contact the Social Determinants of Health and Violence Injury Prevention (SDH/VIP) Unit, at the regional office, to facilitate this process.
The Social Determinants of Health and Violence Injury Prevention (SDH/VIP) Unit, within the Division of Healthy Environments and Populations at the WHO Regional Office for the Western Pacific Region, collaborates with Member States and other stakeholder groups to advance the Sustainable Development Goals by addressing the underlying social determinants of health. SDH/VIP supports countries to develop and implement health policies and programmes that enhance health equity, integrate pro-poor, gender-responsive, and human rights-based approaches. SDH/VIP works with partners to strengthen responses to gender-based violence and to address the health needs of vulnerable populations such as older people, migrants and ethnic minorities.
